Why us?
'Rooted Rings' is inspired from the rings formed in a tree stump, which is an indicator of past climates. The lighter wood shows the spurt of spring and summer growth, while the dark indicates the slower winter growth.
Just like the trees there are times in our life, we experience different challenges that may cause our panic attacks, discomforts, anxiety, stress, and bad habits. These may hinder our growth if we continue to dwell with it. That is why we created Rooted Rings to help you relax and achieve the calmness you deserve.
Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health concern in the United States. Over 40 million adults in the U.S. (19.1%) have an anxiety disorder. Meanwhile, approximately 7% of children aged 3-17 experience issues with anxiety each year. Most people develop symptoms before age 21.
We all experience anxiety. For example, speaking in front of a group can make us anxious, but that anxiety also motivates us to prepare and practice. Driving in heavy traffic is another common source of anxiety, but it helps keep us alert and cautious to avoid accidents. However, when feelings of intense fear and distress become overwhelming and prevent us from doing everyday activities, an anxiety disorder may be the cause.
Rooted rings, which are cute *and* can help you deal with anxiety and anxiousness, are a new and related craze that is starting to gain traction just as the popularity of fidget spinners has started to wane.
Rooted rings are so aesthetically pleasing that they could easily be confused as just another ring, but as a bonus, they can help you get through the day when you’re feeling stressed.
We aim to help you:
🪵 relax in an uncomfortable situation
🪵 stop picking your finger skin
🪵 shift your focus when you are distracted
🪵 get busy with fidgeting to stop panicking
🪵 stay comfortable
🪵 stay fashionable
Each anxiety ring is made up of movable parts like segments in the middle that can twirl with the help of another finger or beads that can slide back and forth. Some rings may even use a combination of light vibration and subtle hum during spinning to reduce overthinking and slow the mind.
Whenever you experience anxiety, place the ring on your finger and concentrate on twisting the band or rolling the beads. You can use it during meetings or give it to your kids to use at school. Either way, it will help you focus on the task rather than panic.
Any time you're feeling anxious, spin the ring. It's perfectly okay to fidget with it any time of the day when you feel like you need to move your hands, since fidgeting does have a naturally calming effect. You can use the ring at any time - not just when you need it for extreme anxiety.
But when you're feeling like you're about to have an anxiety attack, remember to spin the ring or do and think about whatever it was you decided to associate with it. Try not to stop spinning the ring until you've successfully calmed yourself down. As best you can, always try to turn to this tool any time you're suffering from intense anxiety.
Over time, if this works for you, this association should grow stronger, and eventually simply by spinning the ring you'll be able to be in a calmer state.
With the rise of anxiety, stress and depression, our vision is to be your go-to-store when in need of rings that distract you from all of these.
